Despite the impropriety of Jamie Gorelick's membership on the 9/11 Commission, Richard Ben-Veniste is surely the most revolting member of the commission. His membership on it by itself discredits its bona fides. Yesterday Deacon linked to Hugh Hewitt's outstanding Standard Online column on Ben-Veniste. Today the Standard Online features Tod Lindberg's in-depth exploration of Ben-Veniste's career as a partisan cover-up artist and spinmeister: "Lawyer, heal thyself."
