I like this; the Washington Times reports: A group of armed, masked Iraqi men threatened Tuesday to kill Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi if he did not immediately leave the country, accusing him of murdering innocent Iraqis and defiling the Muslim religion. If there really are moderate Muslims out there, they will have to fight for their religion. Who knows, maybe this is a start. Meanwhile, interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi showed solidarity with the latest U.S. attack on a Zarqawi safe house in Falluja--notwithstanding the usual claims of slaughtered infants--by announcing that his government had provided the intelligence that led to the attack. These developments are good. Ultimately, it will be up to the Iraqis to drive foreign terrorists from their midst. Maybe this is a beginning. Trackback PingsTrackBack URL for this entry: |
