Senator Norm Coleman's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations will convene on Monday for a hearing on the United Nations’ Iraqi Oil for Food program. Prior to the public hearing, the Subcommittee's staff will release "new documents detailing the use of vouchers, surcharges and kickbacks to abuse the Oil for Food program," according to a Subcommittee press release. Stay tuned. As we've said before, Senator Coleman is a much more formidable adversary than the United Nations' scam artists have yet encountered. The "oil for food" scandal is one of the great frauds of recent history, and the lid still hasn't been blown off, due to stonewalling by Kofi Annan and others at the U.N. The Subcommittee's hearing will begin on Monday at 12:00 pm EST in room 342 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. We would encourage all Power Line readers within driving distance to attend, if possible. In addition, the hearing will be broadcast over the internet here: http://www.senate.gov/~gov_affairs/index.cfm?Fuseaction=Hearings.Home Trackback PingsTrackBack URL for this entry: Listed below are links to weblogs that reference New Disclosures on U.N.
