Now, however, we are within a shade of being overtaken for first place by NRO's The Corner. The NRO site is outstanding, easily one of the best on the Web. Despite the fact that almost all of NR's fine editors contribute to The Corner, I do not hesitate to say that as a blog The Corner is -- how to put this? -- [Ed.: Are you nuts? Exercise some discretion and think before you speak. Thanks -- I needed that] well, never mind.

UPDATE: I have edited this post slightly to reflect a maturity more befitting my age, and less calculated to generate a sympathy vote among The Corner's numerous and intensely loyal admirers, of whom I am generally so fond that I took a bunch to dinner with Rich Lowry when Rich was in town this past spring to speak at St. Thomas College. I was included among the Cornerites who unanimously supported a raise for Jonah. Rich heard from us all.
