As the Democratic Party continues its slide into disrepute, there doesn't seem to be any bottom in sight. Here is the latest smear from the Dems: candidate Coleen Rowley has published a despicable slander of my own Congressman and friend, John Kline, depicting him as a Nazi. Click to enlarge: In a sane world, the pathetic Ms. Rowley would be forced to resign from the race in humiliation. That won't happen, however, as this kind of ridiculous smear is exactly what the Democratic Party is looking for in its candidates. The more outrageous, the better. Here is Congressman Kline's response to Rowley's smear: Dear Mrs. Rowley, Don't hold your breath. Far from being ashamed, my guess is that Rowley's Nazi slur will increase her fundraising from the Democratic faithful. UPDATE: Rowley now says that she intends to apologize to Congressman Kline for depicting him as a Nazi on her campaign website. Interestingly, Rowley admits that she personally approved the use of the photoshopped picture of Kline. She says that "This was a Nazi uniform and I didn't grasp that impact," which is a little hard to fathom. If Rowley really doesn't understand the impact of depicting a Congressman and 25-year Marine Corps veteran in a Nazi uniform, she is not ready for prime time, to put it mildly. Rowley now says the photoshopped image was "in bad taste," but on her official site, rather than distancing herself from the outrageous photo, she writes: "I support this excellent blog written by one of our best volunteers!" THE LAST WORD: Ms. Rowley has now apologized on her web site. Most of the comments are not very forgiving. |
