Military officials announced today that 61 members of al Qaeda In Iraq were captured yesterday in Anbar province, west of Baghdad. They were apparently captured in a raid on a "training and bomb-making facility;" among those captured were some of al Qaeda's "critical facilitators," according to Major General Rick Lynch. Which makes me wonder: does the Democratic Party still say it's "un-American" to point out that we're fighting al Qaeda in Iraq? And if not, do you suppose an apology will be forthcoming? |
