The Minneapolis Star Tribune continues its somewhat less than probing coverage of Keith Ellison today. We have noted that CAIR was featuring Ellison as its keynote speaker at its annual dinner this weekend. The Star Tribune's Washington bureau reports:

Ellison said he was "really honored" to be in Washington. He said he would return to Minnesota this weekend and would not be the keynote speaker at the annual banquet for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that was a flashpoint in the fall campaign. His appearance had already been announced by CAIR, but Ellison said it was the result of a "natural, normal miscommunication."

And that, amazingly, is that. Apparently no one has gotten word to Ellison's friends at CAIR yet -- they're still plugging him as their keynote speaker here under the heading "First Muslim elected to Congress to speak at CAIR's 12th annual banquet." There is a story here somewhere, but the Star Tribune unfortunatly can't be bothered with it.
