On the most recent edition of the Glenn and Helen Show, Glenn and Helen interviewed John Ondrasik of Five For Fighting. Glenn writes: John Ondrasik is Five for Fighting. Unless you've been living in a cave in Waziristan, you've heard his songs like 100 Years, Superman, and The Riddle. I hadn't heard them, actually, which probably reflects my level of engagement with popular culture. I had heard of Five For Fighting, however, because my teenage daughters are fans. (Oddly, despite being a hockey fan myself, I never got the title of the band.) What I didn't know is that Ondrasik is not the usual music industry liberal (or, worse, goofball). In fact, the title of his new album Two Lights comes from a lunch with Victor Davis Hanson. You can listen to Glenn and Helen's interview of Ondrasik here. And, since it's better to light a candle than to curse the Dixie Chicks, you can buy his new record, Two Lights, here or on iTunes. |
