A hairy embarrassment?

hair2.jpg

In "Dartmouth's hairy exhibit," "A hairy tour," and "A word from Roger Kimball," we covered the "green house" art exhibit now defacing Dartmouth's Baker Library courtesy of avant garde Chinese artist Wenda Gu. Last week the Boston Globe's Ken Johnson took a look at the exhibit in "Six miles of hair in avant-garde work at Dartmouth." As Johnson describes the part of the exhibit called "united nations: united colours" (depicted above), he notes: "The braid…was created in China using hair from commercial wig makers..." Joe Malchow wonders where the hair for the Chinese wigmakers came from in "From whence the Gu?"
