“The new Stasi”

During a discussion about the “media elite” that took place at the awards dinner held by The Week magazine, Tina Brown complained that the old media isn’t serious or elite enough. I’m not sure that, with columns like this one, Brown herself is all that serious. Her writing is elite, though, and I thoroughly enjoyed her piece. Even the part where she called bloggers “the new Stasi.”
