The New York Times features a story on our Northern Alliance colleague and Captain’s Quarters proprietor Ed Morrissey: “A blog written from Minneapolis rattles Canada’s Liberal Party.” In its own backyard the Minneapolis Star Tribune narrowly avoided being scooped by the Times: “Eagan blogger fans Canadian scandal.” The Star Tribune demonstrates its superior attention to the local scene by correctly identifying the relevant municipality in the headline, and its superiority over the St. Paul Pioneer Press by discovering the story.
