Stuck in Lodi

I’d never heard of Lodi, California before the great Creedence Clearwater Revival song “Lodi.” The song is by Creedence’s John Fogerty and was one of the succession of terrific songs on “Green River.” The song stands out for its bitter autobiographical elements, perhaps a little like “Fortunate Son.”
Today Lodi is in the news because of the shocking al-Qaeda related arrests there by the FBI on Tuesday. The Los Angeles Times brings the story up to date in “Ties to terror camps probed” as the story expands beyond Lodi.
