False alarms

It seems that there have been evacuations today here in Washington in response to bomb threats at both the Washington Monument and the Rayburn House Office Building. Apparently neither incident amounted to anything.

JOHN adds: Here in New York, on the other hand, the threat to the subway system seems to have been real, but nipped in the bud. Three men have been arrested in Iraq, but a fourth may already have made his way to New York, and others are believed to have been involved.
