Remembering Richard Pryor
At Pajamas Media, Roger Simon has a wonderful account of the time he worked with Richard Pryor as a screenwriter. The "times," actually, since Roger was hired three times and fired twice on the project that eventually became Bustin' Loose.
It's a little hard for me to understand how anyone could spend his adult life amid the madness of Hollywood, and still emerge as sensible as Roger Simon is. If you ever have the opportunity to spend an evening listening to Roger tell stories, don't pass it up!
