The essential momma 'n' daddy
The estimable Norm Geras hangs his shingle out at Normblog, where he furnishes first-rate political commentary (he's professor of government emeritus at the University of Manchester) and shares his enthusiasm for country music. I think it might have been Norm's appreciation of the artistry of Emmylou Harris that first drew me to his site.
Norm's site has featured a long-running series of blogger profiles (in which both Paul and I have participated) and a long-running series on "Momma 'n' Daddy" songs in country music (archive here). Yesterday Norm reached a milestone of sorts with "The Momma 'n' Daddy collection 50."
