It’s the Instant Messages, Stupid!

Unemployment is down to a stunningly low 4.4%, and the Dow index, while off slightly the last few days, recently reached an all-time high. With times like these, incumbents would normally be cruising to re-election. Of course, it’s easy to understand: when a Congressman is sending racy instant messages, who cares about the economy?
