At the Candidates’ Forum

One of the first topic threads started by Senator Sam Brownback’s campaign related to immigration policy. The thread is drawing a lot of reader reaction; it reminds us again how explosive an issue illegal immigration is within the Republican Party. It is fair to say that Senator Brownback ran into a buzz-saw, but there are other candidates–not to mention our current President–who wouldn’t fare any better with this part of the GOP’s base.
