Rudy Hits It Out of the Park
As I said yesterday, I didn't watch the Republican debate in Iowa yesterday, but from what I've read, most of the contenders did well. I've heard a number of clips, but the best, I think, is Rudy Giuliani responding to an aggressive question from a liberal Des Moines columnist who suggested that the Republicans' "dogma" against raising taxes was making it impossible to repair bridges. Seriously. Rudy's response was excellent; if you haven't seen it--or even if you have--the Giuliani campaign has posted the first part of Rudy's answer (there was actually more, which was also terrific) in the Candidates' Forum, here.
