Andrew Marcus caught up with the appalling John Mearsheimer, who was expounding his deep thoughts on the subject of Iran. Iran, Mearsheimer says, wants to be our friend. Is Iran killing our soldiers in Iraq? Sure, but only a few. Clandestine nuclear program? No worries. Threats to annihilate Israel? Improper translations. In what venue did Mearsheimer find a friendly audience for this message? At Yearly Kos, of course, where Mearsheimer appeared along with Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, Bill Richardson, and other Democratic Presidential candidates.
